On discharge you will be provided with written instructions outlining your post-operative care. An emergency out of hours contact telephone number will also be provided. You will be provided with dressings as required, and any appropriate post-operative medication will be prescribed.

If you are unsure of the instructions, please ask the nurse discharging you for a further explanation. It is very important you understand and follow the written instructions after your treatment.
