Adam Searle
Adam Searle is a past President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He graduated in both medicine (MBBS) in 1985, and dentistry
(BDS) in 1979 from Guy’s Hospital and University of London.
Having completed training in general surgery and becoming a Fellow
of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 1989, he specialised
in plastic and reconstructive surgery training in teaching hospitals,
specialist, and regional plastic surgery units.
In 1994 he was awarded the Ian McGregor medal at the Royal College
of Surgeons in the Specialist Fellowship (FRCS Plast). He is included
on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Plastic
Surgery.
In 1994 Mr Searle was appointed as consultant plastic and reconstructive
surgeon at the Charing Cross Hospital, developing his interests
in cancer reconstruction and aesthetic surgery.
In 1999 Mr Searle was appointed at the Royal Marsden Hospital where
he currently holds the position of Senior Plastic and Reconstructive
surgeon, specialising in breast cancer, head and neck cancer, skin
cancer and sarcoma reconstruction.
Mr Searle has presented at a range of national and international
plastic surgery conferences, is actively involved in post-graduate
training, and has been invited to lecture at a number of meetings
around the world.
Mr Searle’s interest in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic
surgery is reflected in his contribution to learned societies and
associations. He is currently the President of the British Association
of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and serves on the Council
of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). He is a past
President of the Plastic Surgery Section of the Royal Society of
Medicine.
Mr Searle has contributed to a number of press articles and broadcasts
on the subject of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Mr Searle pursues his particular interests of aesthetic and reconstructive
surgery within a team of specialist colleagues, plastic surgery
nurses, personal assistants and supportives in this private practice
at The Consulting Suite in Portland Place in central London.
