David Floyd
David
Floyd graduated from Cambridge University in 1985 and completed
his medical degree at University College London in 1988. Following
4 years of General Surgical training he gained his FRCS in 1993.
In 1995 he was awarded a Masters degree for his research into scarring
and wound healing.
His Plastic Surgery training was
obtained in various London plastic surgery units including, University
College, Queen Victoria, Mount Vernon, Charing Cross and Chelsea
& Westminster Hospitals. Specialist interests were developed
with fellowships at Great Ormond Street Hospital in paediatric plastic
surgery, The Royal Marsden Hospital in breast reconstruction and
The Wellington Hospital in cosmetic surgery. He passed the FRCS
(Plast) in 2001.
Mr Floyd entered the GMC Specialist
Register for Plastic Surgery in 2002. He is a full member of the British
Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS),
the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the
International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the British
Society of Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). He is a Consultant Plastic
Surgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer at The Royal Free Hospital
and University College London Hospitals.
Mr Floyd has made numerous contributions
to the Plastic Surgery literature and regularly presents his work
at both national and international conferences
His particular interests
include cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and abdomen, adult
and paediatric hand surgery and reconstructive surgery of the breast
and lower limb.
Mr Floyd works within a team of surgeons, specialist plastic surgery
nurses, personal assistants and receptionists in his private practice,
at The Consulting Suite, in central London.
